授業の目標 - 到達目標-
To develop students’ conversation and listening skills so that they will feel more comfortable and confident communicating in English
科目の位置づけ - この専門分野の領域-
English is the language of the global community. Therefore, having a working knowledge of English is important for producing global citizens and for working in various service-related fields. As opposed to learning English as a subject of study, the course focuses on using English as a tool for communicating.
授業の内容・講義手法の概要
A variety of everyday topics will be taken up. First, necessary vocabulary will be introduced. Then a model conversation will be practiced, followed by an explanation of key grammar points. A number of pair-work and group-work speaking and listening activities will then be used to practice the target language.
